The choice of a funeral director and the establishment which he represents needs to be based on comfort and reliability. Here are some questions you could ask when looking at different funeral homes/crematoriums in your own community:
· Do you know anyone who has used this funeral director/ funeral home before? Were they satisfied?
· Do you personally know the funeral director? Or anyone on the staff? How well? What is your comfort level with that person?
· How are they seen in the community?
· How long have they been in operation?
· Do they have a valid license?
· Is this a corporate funeral home or a privately owned an operated home?
· Will they itemize their price list?
· Do they provide the services that you require?
